Vulvalove is a work in progress. Suggestive images that appear to represent vulvas create a new imagery which explores pleasure and sensuality through a subjective observation.
Despite the non-stop bombardment of images of sexualised bodies, fragmented bodies and objectified bodies, particularly the female body, many women have never seen their own vulva. Our genitals are a battleground, and an unknown one, at that.
Through the offering of symbolic images freed from hetero-patriarchal stereotypes and by creating our own visual dialogue, we enjoy a broader freedom to reclaim our own bodies and thus become comfortable in our own skins.
