ONE
El círculo como puente entre el microcosmos y el macrocosmos.
The circle as a bridge between microcosm and macrocosm.
ONE es un proyecto en el que estuve trabajando a partir de 2013. Por mi maternidad y mi profesión (en ese momento trabajaba a tiempo completo como diseñadora), la pintura estaba relegada a un segundo plano, sobre todo por falta de tiempo. Así que mi investigación pictórica en esos años continuó alrededor del círculo: los innumerables círculos del proyecto Inside the Circle se ampliaban para relacionar el microcosmos con el macrocosmos.
Sentía la necesidad de abordar ese concepto a través de imágenes que llevaran al espectador a niveles subatómicos, o a la relación de nuestra propia escala con el inabarcable universo.
ONE is a project I worked on from 2013 onwards. Between motherhood and my profession (at the time I worked full-time as a designer), painting had taken a back seat, mostly for lack of time. So my pictorial research in those years continued around the circle: the countless circles of Inside the Circle expanded to connect microcosm and macrocosm.
I felt the need to explore that idea through images that would take the viewer down to subatomic levels, or to the relationship between our own scale and the boundless universe.
Como es arriba, es abajo
La reflexión filosófica y esotérica a la que me llevaba la máxima alquímica me inspiraba a crear estos universos orgánicos, donde el propio Big Bang era haber vivido la experiencia de gestar una vida, y el impacto de transformación que ese hecho trajo a mi vida, que cambió radicalmente mi forma de percibir el mundo.
As above, so below
The philosophical and esoteric reflection that the alchemical maxim led me to inspired me to create these organic universes, where the Big Bang itself was the experience of carrying a life, and the transforming impact it had on my life, which radically changed the way I perceive the world.
