The womb as a symbol of cycles, memory and regeneration.
Inicié esta serie en 2017. Me inspiró, a nivel físico, la capacidad de este órgano para crear vida y transformarse en ciclos, como la Luna, y también la manera en que alberga memorias y emociones ligadas a nuestra sexualidad.
Pintar úteros fue para mí un ejercicio terapéutico para sanar una pérdida gestacional. Los pintaba siempre sintiendo que, en algún momento, acompañarían a alguna mujer como un símbolo poderoso de transformación y regeneración.
I began this series in 2017. Physically, I was inspired by this organ's capacity to create life and to transform in cycles, like the Moon, and also by the way it holds memories and emotions linked to our sexuality.
Painting wombs was a therapeutic exercise for me, a way to heal from a pregnancy loss. I always painted them feeling that, at some point, they would accompany a woman as a powerful symbol of transformation and regeneration.
