A dreamlike journey into the mystery of the sacred feminine.
Lilith's Altar is an ephemeral construction made with tulle fabric, light and sound.
On a conceptual level, this work expresses atmospherically the mystery and depth of the Sacred Feminine, articulated through a sensorial experience. My wish was to represent a place or state that would be almost meditative and enigmatic, where the spectator can immerse in a dreamlike journey into the unknown.
The denial of the sacredness of feminine sexuality by heteropatriarchal society is projected onto the Lilith archetype and her complete repudiation for being a woman who decides to own her deepest desires.
Lilith's Altar honours the Mysterious Feminine, the power and sensuality that emerge from what is subtle, and takes back the right to desire and to find empowerment through sexuality.
In Les Petites Morts (2024)
At the heart of Les Petites Morts beats a space that invites you to lose yourself in the depth of the unknown. El Altar de Lilith arises like a whisper among layers of tulle, warm light and enveloping sound. There is no hurry here, only the gentle invitation to pause, to feel the heartbeat of something ancient, almost forgotten.
The figure of Lilith, powerful and free, inspires this altar, which honours desire and the connection with what remains hidden, waiting to be rediscovered. A journey into the most intimate, where sensuality is revealed in every shadow, in every fold of light, reminding us of the power that lies in accepting who we are, without denial.
The space becomes a portal, a place where the gaze dissolves and only feeling remains. A suspended moment, where desire stops being taboo and becomes a creative force. El Altar de Lilith is an invitation to immerse yourself, to touch the invisible and awaken what lies dormant.
Within Les Petites Morts, this work speaks of rebirth, of the fusion between the ephemeral and the eternal, the visible and the hidden. Here, art is a bridge to who we truly are, an echo that resonates in the deepest part of us.
